Ingredients

  • 800 g cooked short-grain rice
  • 225 g beef strips
  • 225 g spinach
  • 225 g bean sprouts
  • 140 g carrots, cut into matchsticks
  • 140 g cucumber, cut into matchsticks
  • 115 g mushrooms, sliced
  • 4 eggs
  • 60 g gochujang
  • 30 ml sesame oil
  • 25 ml soy sauce
  • 3 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 3 scallions, sliced
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 2 tsp sugar

Three essential steps

  1. Prepare and season every vegetable topping separately so its colour and texture remain distinct.
  2. Marinate and quickly cook the beef in a properly heated pan. Fry four eggs sunny-side up.
  3. Divide the rice between four bowls, arrange the toppings as a colour wheel and add the eggs. Serve with gochujang sauce and mix only at the table.
